This Privacy Policy explains how Meteor Appliance Repair, LLC (“Meteor Appliance Repair,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects information when you use MeteorAR.com, request appliance-repair services, or communicate with us.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect your name, telephone number, email address, service and billing addresses, appliance information, appointment details, service history, estimates, invoices, payment status, and information you voluntarily provide. Payment-card information may be processed directly by third-party payment providers rather than stored by us.
2. Calls and Messages
We may retain calls, voicemail, text messages, emails and related communication records. Calls may be recorded for quality assurance, training, documentation and dispute resolution when required notice and consent are provided.
3. Cookies and Website Information
Necessary cookies remember your cookie preference and protect access to the private owner console. Optional website analytics and Google Ads measurement stay off until you select Accept all. Select Necessary only to use the public site, call us or submit a service request without optional analytics. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie settings in the footer.
The meteor_cookie_choice cookie stores your choice for 365 days in this browser. The banner may appear again if that cookie expires, you clear browser data or you use another browser or device. It stores your preference, not your name or contact details. We may ask again when the optional measurement described in the banner changes.
If you allow analytics, we record page paths, clicks on telephone links, a referring website hostname and random session and visitor identifiers in our website database. Phone clicks are not proof that a call took place. The meteor_session cookie lasts 30 minutes and meteor_visitor lasts 365 days; their expiry is renewed when an analytics event is recorded. Selecting Necessary only stops future optional tracking and removes those analytics cookies. Previously recorded events are not automatically deleted by changing your cookie choice.
With your permission, Google Ads measures accepted service requests and calls attributable to our ads using advertising click identifiers, cookie identifiers, page information and technical information such as IP address and browser details. Google may show a forwarding number that routes calls to our usual business line and measures call activity and duration. Our form measurement sends a random event identifier, not your name, phone number, email address, service address or message. We disable ad personalization and enable restricted data processing for this measurement. Submitting a service request is separate from optional analytics. We process the information you submit to respond to your request and send it through our transactional email provider, Resend, to our business inbox, including an image copy of the request when available. We also retain a technical acceptance record to prevent duplicate counting; this record does not contain the customer's name, telephone number, email address or request text. Our hosting and service providers may process IP addresses, browser information and operational logs to deliver and secure the service.
4. How We Use Information
We use information to schedule and provide services; communicate about appointments, technician arrival, estimates, invoices and payments; maintain service records; provide support; prevent fraud; improve operations; and comply with legal obligations.
5. SMS Privacy and Consent
If you opt in, we may send service-related text messages. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance. SMS consent is not shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. We do not sell or rent your SMS opt-in information.
6. When We Share Information
We may share information with providers that support business communications, scheduling and CRM systems, payment processing, website hosting, analytics, parts procurement, and other operational services. Website service-request submissions are processed by our transactional email provider solely to deliver the information to our business email inbox. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a business transfer. Service providers may use information only as permitted by their agreements and applicable law.
7. Sale of Personal Information
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined by applicable California law.
8. Data Retention and Security
We retain information for legitimate business, warranty, accounting, dispute-resolution and legal purposes. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
9. California Privacy Rights
Depending on applicable law, California residents may request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information and may exercise other privacy rights. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable rights. Some information may be retained where permitted or required by law.
10. Children
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
